Having adopted the smartwatch life for the past year, I quickly realized it was the smart features such as notifications and quick replies that I found the most useful. Although I use last years Galaxy watch at the gym all the time, the fitness tracking aspect never really grew on me. When Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch Active, I was curious to see if this new wearable, aimed towards those with active lifestyles would change my mind. So are you going to review the Galaxy Watch Active 2 when you can? (It has the digital rotating bezel which I’m excited for- pretty sure it won’t feel the same but anything over looking like some weirdo swiping their wrist!)
Instead of the rotating bezel, you move your finger around the black part of the watch where the screen is not extended… no swiping needed hahah

Would anyone know if the Active watch connects with a heart rate monitor chest strap?
I tried out the samsung galaxy 2atch thought it had great features but much too big. I traded it in for the active about 3 days ago. I really miss having the extra features like taking calls and texts without having my phone on me. But. I much prefer the more simple look and the smaller face. The active is by far more comfortable and I dont have to worry about damaging my active while working (I work in a factory and worried about damaging the galaxy watch bezel on the machines). I really do hope Samsung will take everything from the galaxy watch +LTE and integrates it into the active watch.

Hi, would you recommend galaxy watch active over regular galaxy watch? I'm planning to buy smartwatch but I'm not sure if I need to get Galaxy watch 46mm or Galaxy watch active. I need a watch for notifications, replaying to them and maybe some fitness tracking like steps and heart rate, what's your advice? Thanks

oh I'm so glad to see this on a smaller wrist. still too big/thick for me, but an improvement in size for sure.

Nice to see your review. I was very curious if the pixel 3 works well with the Galaxy Active watch. At least the color matches my 'not pink' Pixel 😉. I only heard about crashes between the Galaxy Active watch and another brand of Android phone .. You were not bothered by that? And I still have a little doubt between the Fossil Sport. (I don't want to wait for the Pixel watch .. and probably this one is not as nice as the Galaxy Active) Thanks again for the review !!
I'm glad samsung came out with this size…. The Samsung galaxy watch was waaaay too big. No matter how much I wanted to love it.. It looked duuumb big on my wrist. Got this at launch and though it's not as good as my fitbit versa… The ability for the quick replies and notifications on there is awesome and what I've missed the most with the fitbit (well I miss the battery life too) overall I'm pretty happy with it
The only sad thing is.. there isn't a speaker+ Bixby is pretty trash
still no watch active here at the Phils. 😔😔😔
I have the Galaxy Neo, the square one very old but is the same with the Active regarding navigation, so I'm likely to feel no difference regarding there.
