  1. Which would you prefer to keep? I have the i7 9th gen 1GB ssd, rtx 2070, 16gb ram or the i7 8th gen 512gb ssd, rtx 2080, 32gb ram. Which would you prefer to keep as a gaming laptop running COD MW?

  2. Oh, i dream the time lenovo will have a thinkpad for 4k or 6k video & photo editing for a price below 2k$ and 15inch with thin bezels. 1080p 100%srgb color monitor. And a 10th gen cpu, dd4 3000mhz+ and nvme gen 4. storage.. 🙂

  3. Could you please review the MSI WS65 and the WS75. Im trying to decide what size to get , I’m looking to get it to do rendering and using it as my main computer for Architecture

  4. @MobileTechReview
I have two questions and I cant seem to find the answer anywhere!

    1) Is the GTX 1080(laptop) better than the rtx 2080 Max Q? Userbenchmark says max q is better but I think fps performance says otherwise

    2) Is the rtx 2080 max q better than desktop 2060??? Again, user benchmark says 2080maxq is SLIGHTLY stronger but fps performance says otherwise. It seems like desktop 2060 gives better performance overall.

Im to the point where i might have buyers remorse for buying this laptop with 2080 max q :/

  5. I have the same but rtx 2060 and I also got the razer . I am returning the razer this computer doesnt have the same build quality but the msi brings more ram the screen is taller . And the keyboard is way better. For video editing not plug in it beat the razer by double the speed.

  6. Would you please tell me if I should buy a Zephyrus GX701 or the MSI GS75? I am an Industrial designer who uses software like Solidworks and Alias for CAD modeling and Keyshot and Vray for rendering works. I also use aftereffects, 3ds max and am planning to learn Zbrush too. Apart from these I extensively use Photoshop and Illustrator and other Adobe software like Indesign. I am an avid gamer too and take part in occasional competitive gaming. I know that both of those devices can work well for my requirements but am confused as to which one is better for me, or better in general and popular opinion. I know that both have some setbacks and lack some features that the other one has like the Gsync in GX701 and the Thunderbolt 3 in MSI. I personally don't mind not having a Gsync on a system with Rtx2080 or 2070 and a 144Hz panel but do really need the Thunderbolt 3. I was leaning towards the GS75 but then heard comments regarding its thermal throttling and performance issue and its lack of built quality in comparison. I really hope that you would give me your opinion as soon as possible and maybe can tell me other options as well. Thank you. 🙂

  7. Does ANYONE know , how the thermal goes IF you use it with lid closed ?
I saw the intake is on top of the keyboard … what happens if I wanna use it as a desktop with external monitor.
    Can't find this anywhere …

  8. its a real peice of junk i exchanged it 3 times before i asked for my money back ! I dont understand how reviewers lie about it , they are most likely payed. its super flimsy and heats up like a furnace, it has a lot of backlit bleed that gets worse over time. it throttles like hell also.

  9. Hi MobileTechReview,

Quick question: If I leave my GS75 laptop with the fan on max everytime I decide to use my laptop (not just for gaming purposes), will doing this hurt my laptop in any way?

I'm just concerned with CPU and GPU temperatures sometimes hitting 89°C and just to be extra safe, I want to always use my fan on max. There's nothing wrong with this, right?
    Thanks

  10. Msi released their GS65 with 240hz panels now. So I'd wait a few weeks/months because they soon have the GS75 with 240hz screens too.

  11. Whats your guys opinion of this laptop with an i7 and a rtx 2060? When i play my cpu always hit 80ºc with ease and my gpu hits like max 70ºc. The thing is they all tell me that the laptop is made to live at 80ºc but im afraid thats not fully true. So wonder what other peoples opinion is about it.

  12. You're the best reviewer out there. I find your channela few years back when looking for a laptop and landed on the ge72 Apache Pro based on your review and just bought the gs75 with an i7 and 2070 based on this review. Around my friends and family I'm thought of as the guy all just knows about the newest cell phones or laptops and it's almost exclusively from this channel. Keep on keeping on Lisa!

  13. I had i7 6700hq with mild UV ( -0.120) i had max 75C in cpu heavy games ,now im getting i5 8300h which i plan to "cap" at 3,5 Gzh this is only NEW cpu i can accept in a laptop rest is just wasted money (initial purchase&throttling&heat) ,not getting anything other until intel dial down mobile chips to 7nm and nvidia stops scamming ppl on RTX mobile chips.

  14. MSI GS series is just too expensive compared to Razer’s Blade. Sure it might be a couple hundred dollars less, but the cooling and build quality are so much better on the blade, I wonder why anyone would consider the MSI. The list goes on upgradeability, speakers, trackpad, fan noise, etc hardly enough to justify saving a couple hundred. The only thing I really like about the MSI is the keyboard.

  15. MSI – as a company you have done a lot for the gaming community and challenged many gaming devices. However, I do agree with a lot of the comments as you could maybe consider different materials for better cooling so you do not need to undervolt and/or throttle so much. There are much better options if you look at the various metals and if you would set it up with a 3:2 or 16:10 screen you would have more room on the bottom. These machines do not need to be so thin, these are work horses!! Most of them will never leave the desk and I feel MSI has focused too much on making this thin and somewhat stylish and overlooked a lot of options. Think about how these machines can be optimized better as the whole i9 is becoming a joke in the industry.

  16. WOW! You are correct there. The i7-8750H & 2070 (Clevo chassis) averages 91FPS in New Dawn (All Ultra) bench whereas the i9-9880H & 2080 Max-Q averages 41?!?!? I would be returning it honestly. I'm sure if you repasted and tweaked you could fix this. But…it's not a great starting point for the price.

  17. great video like ever.fun &informative
please try to get your hands on "clevo N970TF",as it could get desktop cpu,so i9 9900T or i7 9700K plus RTX2070 in 17" chassis(there is N960TF with 16" size as well),and cheaper price,it's one of a better laptop for overall gaming+content creators experience.
