Performance is always a matter of primary concern on gaming laptops. So let’s talk about the MSI GE75 Raider 9SF gaming performance first. The laptop flaunts 9th gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor. And the MSI GE75 Raider 9th gen CPU is complemented by 16GB of RAM. With a proficient processor on the inside and an ample RAM at its disposal, the device handles the normal workloads pretty fluently. You can open more than 30 tabs in Google Chrome and still stay worry-free. With the RTX 2070 graphics card at the helm, the laptop is a beast of a performer even while playing graphics-intensive games. And with the MSI GE75 Raider RTX 2070 graphics card, you can also expect to play some ray-tracing enabled games. In the MSI GE75 Raider gaming laptop, I played quite a lot of games and here are the frame rates for various games.

I also played games like PUBG, Fortnite, GTA 5, and Witcher 3, and those games fared well on my gaming sessions. However, on the prolonged gaming sessions, the laptop heated quite aggressively. It reached up to 102-degree centigrade. And at such high temperature, there was also some thermal throttling. MSI GE75 Raider 9SF thermal throttling issues can be solved somewhat by turning on its fans. And all thanks to the MSI GE75 Raider 9SF cooling mechanisms and fans, the device cooled to the comfortable values.

Lately, gaming laptops also come with some amazing speakers on the board. And to offer the immersive gaming experience, MSI GE75 Raider 9SF speakers also produce some punchy sound. Maybe MSI has included sizable speakers on to the laptop; hence, they call the speakers on the device as “Giant speakers”.

The GE75 Raider impressed me in almost every aspect. But I am was not quite satisfied with MSI GE75 Raider 9SF battery life during the time of my review. The device comes with a mere 51-watt-hour battery, which failed to last even for 2.5 hours on the normal use. So if you are planning to buy this laptop make sure that the charger is standby.

  4. I own a MSI GE75 Raider-048 8sg notebook.

    I face issues with the a frame drops especially getting capped at 48fps on all games.

    I've tried the followings and still stuck at a capped 48fps.

    – Disable the battery boost in Nvidia Experience.

    – Select on any game on Nvidia Control Panel with ""High-performance NVIDIA processor""

    – Enforce disabling V-Sync and Anti-Aliasing.

    – Disabling any recording tool.

    – Putting everything on maximum performance "SPORT" mode on msi dragon gaming center application.

    Your utmost support is critically needed to get above 60fps.

    I used to have 250fps on TRINE 4, but now it's stuck on 48fps.

  14. Thermal throttling is not only concerned with temperatures. Its more related to temperature and the clock speed at that temperature. In battlefield 5 you had 3000mhz which is 25% throttling. Please do clear research before you post reviews.

  17. Lol scar 2 3 hour gaming just 70°c!! 102 are dangerous for notebook CPUs you exaggerated this product in 20k less getting scar is better in thermal in overall I think ocean enterprise gave you ransom for this lol!
