Its been all AMD and Ryzen 3000 for more than a month now so we decided that we would change gears a little and show a motherboard which I couldn’t find solid information about and a motherboard that were using for Klaires new editing workstation paired with the Intel i9 9900K.

  1. Picking one up, but I had a question about the onboard WIFI. How does it work exactly? Is it constantly looking for an internet connection? If so is it possible to disable it? I'll be using Ethernet, thanks!

  2. I'm picturing some kids sitting around opening Cracker Jack boxes. One kid says "I got a toy", another one says "I got a book", the last one says "Darn, another Mini ITX board" 😉

  3. Woo get excited Klaire. Great overview of the Gigabyte Z390 itx board. I love itx boards, just not really the price tag that goes with some of them. Keep up the good work fams

  4. Regarding the LGA 1151 being electrically identical to LGA 1151v2: It's not.

LGA 1151v2 uses more pins for power (128 vs 146), which are completely unneccessary.
But hey, gotta make the customer buy new motherboards even if we could have supported the old socket for longer 🙂

  5. The USB game on this board is heavy. I can just picture all the flash, dongles, cables, and other peripherals sticking out the board

  6. I clicked on this thinking it was the Gigabyte X570i Aorus pro wifi video; this might not be it but it's still a sick video for Intel's Z390 platform! Can't wait to see your "downsized" builds for the crew!
